Felt Fit

I am considering the Felt B2 and was wondering in general how Felts fit. I am 5’ 9" with an inseam of 31 1/2" or so and am fairly evenly proportioned with leg and torso length. My road bike is a Raleigh Team at 53 cm. The main reason I am looking is to see generally if a 52 or 54 would be in the ball park. There is a bike shop that carries Felt and wanted to see what the feeling is before I travel to the shop and test ride.

Also, any thoughts on Felt would be appreciated. I am between the Felt B2 and Cervelo P2C at this point.

Thanks for the input.

I’m 5’9 and ride a Felt S22. Size 52cm…

FWIW.

Just to confuse you more, I’m 5’9" with a 31" inseam and ride a 54 cm Felt B12. Tried a 52 at the shop and it was clearly too small for me.

sounds like you need a fit… How low do you want to go? Any back problems?

If you look at the frame measurements, I believe the Felt and the Cervelo have very similar measurements. If you haven’t already done so, you may want to check out the “$2500 Bike Wars” article at www.bikesportmichigan.com. They compare the p2C to the B12, which has (to my knowledge) the exact same geometry as the B12 (though the aerobars are different).

FWIW, I test rode the P2C and Felt B12 and decided on the B12. The P2C was very solid and extremely smooth, but there was just something about the Felt that I really liked. To me, both bikes fit very similarly.

Good luck. You really can’t go wrong with either one!

hahahaha! :O)

It depends if you ride slack or steep. The 54cm might be a better bike if you want to ride upright for Iron-distance, the seat angle is widely adjustable on both bikes, but about 2 degrees slacker overall for a given cradle position on the seatpost on the 54cm. Get fit, it’ll determine the best size.

I started on a 56cm B2 that I fit comfortably and have moved to a 54cm with a bit more setback (812mm seat height, 5cm saddle offset) and a longer stem (125mm) with some new custom aerobars. I’m 6’2" with a 34.5" inseam.

I’m 5’ 10" and I ride a 56 B2. I tried a 54 but it was too small. I have the stock saddle and stem on mine still too.
