Can anyone advise me how to tighten a loose Felt DA bayonet headset? Mine is loose. I have an A race on Sunday so I need to get this done pronto. The inner workings are mysterious. Once the top piece that holds the stem is off there are no bolts or nuts evident. Special tools? I’m stumped. Throw me a bone!
Here’s a link to the instructional video on the Felt website: http://www.feltracing.com/08/display.asp?catid=1535&pageid=418
Good luck with your race.

I’m sorry if the video we made wasn’t helpful. If you haven’t seen it, go to www.feltbicycles.com and watch it.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Shoot me a quick PM or I’d be happy to discuss any concerns you have on the phone.
Can the shop where you bought it service it?
It doesn’t require any “special” tools, but unless you’ve done headsets and have a feel for bearing preload and torque values, you should rely on those that do.

Though I dont have a Felt, I thought the video was very instructional. I wondered how the bayonnet fork/mount worked. Thanks.
Tim & Dave - The video is excellent and completely exceeded my expectations. This is essential viewing for any curious Felt Bayonet owner.
Thx!
