Anyone following this program?

Soooo… You do weights with your training to build muscle? I guess they have a dvd plan for everything. If you want to look ripped and haul at races, try mixing in some crossfit with your tri workouts. Its been working for me and the workouts are free if you go by the website. Just don’t get reckless and you won’t get hurt (que the cf haters in 3…2…)

Getting ripped is a function of genetics, diet, and exercise. For instance, I eat what I want, train for triathlon exclusively with swimming, biking, and running (i.e no weightlifting/cross-training) and I’m jacked as shit and it shows. I know people that bust their asses for years on end in the weight room and still don’t get that bulk + cut look like I get from tri training only. For many the issue is their diet, but for a lot of people the reason they won’t ever get that look is genetics. I’m not saying that to brag, but it’s one of those things where you either have it or you won’t, regardless of what you do. Bottom line, if you’re ugly, blame your parents…

Gee Zack, I bet you can just spend hours in front of the mirror … I’m so jealous

I think it’s clear that to get ripped you have to ride with your shirt off in slow motion.

Zack, your body is ripped because you are what… 19? Never any body fat. Stayed athletic all your life, swim team, etc. But what about your face?

I think it’s clear that to get ripped you have to ride with your shirt off in slow motion.

And make a really “mean” face
.

Is that DaveRoche’s evil alter-ego? I didn’t see a goatee.

I think he’s making a mean face b/c he just left a steamer in his shorts.

You can “have it” up to a certain age. And then other factors kick in. I use to eat boxes of Drumsticks and Eskimo Pies in one sitting when I was in my late teens/early 20’s and I was at about 7% BF without even trying. Now in my 40’s…I can’t quite pull that off.

I imagine you could still eat them all… it is maintaining the 7% body fat which can be tough.

I’ve learned my lesson with posted those kinda pics on the interweb  as for race results, Im only around a 1:17 sprint @ 200lbs (by no means fast), but thats down from 1:32 and 220lbs when I first started doing both. I used to be a heavy weight lifter, and need to retain as much upper body strength and “functional fitness” as possible for my job. Currently, I’m training to go much further and faster for next season, and am flirting with 190 for the first time in a decade. CF definately isn’t the answer for everybody, but I’ve found that if you want the best of both worlds, it seems to be the way to go unlike some of the ‘fad’ programs

I used Ben Greenfield’s Dominator program for IM training last year. He has an exercise program for just about everything you can think of. On line marketing is an enormous part of his daily routine. He will inundate you with offers, specials, discounts, pod casts, webinars, you name it.

The program worked for me, but I have tagged his stuff as junk mail. Just too much!

HA! to be fair, that pic was about 20lbs ago, but still… Very nice burn

That is a hilarious video. Mr. Strong Triathlete aside, all the slow motion stuff is over the top. Sighting EVERY STROKE while pool swimming? Is that so we can appreciate his sneer?

And the workouts against his garage door? Did he lose his membership to the gym where he’s filmed all his other videos? Man, too funny.

Actually, most of my other videos were filmed in the garage, where I do a great majority of my lifting.

We can all tell LA never asked to use your blood:0)
I am ugly and not ripped do I blame both parents or just one?
Dad was a body builder in the late 50’s early 60’s.
