What is your favorite sports drink? I have been using Gatorade for training and EnduroxR4 for recovery but I was thinking about switching drinks for workout…I like EnduroxR4 for recovery and plan to keep using it. Considering Infinit, Cytomax, Accelerate, open to others. I know a lot of sports drink is individual preference on taste and individual stomach reaction but curious what drinks people use and like most.

Actually, went with Cytomax (Peachy Keen flavor) slightly diluted from recommended for years. However, switched over to InfiniT and a custom blend that goes down easier and seems to absorb faster. Have tried Gu2O, Gatorade Endurance, Powerade, Accelerade and several others. So far, the InfiniT has eliminated my need to take Endurolytes on warm days.
My preference is for the lemon flavored E-Load. No artifical flavors or colors, relatively high electrolyte content, and a subtle lemon flavor that still tastes OK when warm.
I’m a huge fan of Infinit. I had stomach issues during races and switched at the end of last season to Infinit. Just last weekend I was able to test it out during a 50K ultra. No stomach problems. The stuff tastes good even when it gets warm. I would recommend it. Plus, I’ve talked to Michael, the president/owner of Infinit, several times on the phone and he was always wicked helpful.
Pesonally I like a scoop of Carbo-pro, a little (Maybe 1/8 of a water bottle) Gatorade Tiger Red for flavor, and a salt tab. Calories, electrolytes, and not too much simple sugars. Not the strongest taste in the world, but my stomach tolerates it well and that’s what counts.

I too use Infinit and have not had any issues with it. It is very customizable to your needs/issues and tastes pretty good.
for training?
GuH20 + CarboPro for training. 2 scoops of GuH20, 0,1 or 2 scoops of CarboPro depending on how long a session I have planned.
for recovery?
Chocolate milk and water.
Hammer HEED for 1-2 hours. Lighter than gatorade…
With Infinit and Nuun (check out the Tri-berry flavor) I’m covered for all my training and racing.
I’ve used cytomax for years before lifting & running. Now that I’ve started Tri’s, I like it here too. I’ve tried accelerate and Infinit & couldn’t really tell a difference, so I stuck with Cytomax. It is much cheaper.
Lemon-lime Gatorade Endurance is my favorite. Like the taste even when it gets hot in the water bottles and it doesn’t upset my stomach or anything.
Vitalyte (formally Gookinaid) Fruit punch.
X2 on the lemon flavour eload. Great taste, enough carbs, and gentle on the stomach. Plus, I need all the electrolytes (in the correct proportions) I can get.
Infinit is the way to go. Try with a standard blend and then dial in your preference from there.

x2. Used to use Cytomax but got tired of the flavor. Heed is too bland for my taste.
Long races, Perpetuem Shorter runs, Accelerade. I like the protein in them. Seems to keep my stomach settled for some reason.
Yellow or Orange gatorade during work-outs, GNC protein shake right after the work-out, and then Wild Turkey on the rocks after the shower.

not really a drink or a gel, but liquid shot from first endurance is the bomb!
I have to say you’re doing the right thing getting off of the Gatorade! I’m with you on the Endurox for recovery. I use Accelerade (Accelerade and Endurox are made by the same company). If you believe in the science of 4:1 carb/protein ration, then Accelerade is the way to go! I live in ATL and get it all at all3sports…their prices are the same as amazon. Best of luck!
