Favorite riding cream

I’ve been using butt’r cream for a while and its fine but was gonna try something else. Once I bought the assos and it was super expensive and not worth the extra cost.

So what do you like and why?

Sorry if this has been discussed before (i’m sure it has, but i couldnt easily find an old thread)

Enzo’s with tingle.
Cheap, smooth, no mess, smells nice, feels cool.

Chamois butt’r original. I’ve tried everything. Landed on this.

Boudreaux’s Butt Paste. I tried several different types and found that I like Skin Sake. It’s much thicker than many of the other chamois creams / anti-chafe stuff I’ve tried over the years. After using it, I realized it was similar or identical to the aforementioned Butt Paste. Bought some on Amazon to try out and it works great no matter how sweaty you get in the Netherlands.

2Toms Butt Shield - goes on silk smooth with roll-on applicator (so I’m not using my fingers to apply), doesn’t wash away when it gets wet so I put it on before the swim and know that it will be there the entire bike & run. This stuff is great!

Bag Balm. Inexpensive & 1 can lasts longer than any chamois cream I’ve tried. Local WalGreens, or at times found it at Costco, or other pharmacy or grocery stores I’ve seen it in.

Morgan Blue Solid Chamois Cream. By far my favorite but seemingly impossible to get in the USA currently.

currently using battles udder cream. got it from a veterinary supply store, in a 1kg bucket.

cheap, and it works.

Around 8 years ago I went from never having crotch issues to always having crotch issues (pain and irritation). I tried everything; different saddles, all sorts of popular chamois creams, bag balm, vaseline, cocoa butter, custom made concoctions with beeswax… nothing worked.

A couple months back. I bought a tub of this stuff… and now it’s all good. It’s nice that it’s ~1/4 the price of chamois creams.

DZ Nuts, Enzo’s if you like something thicker. Doc’s skincare if you prefer a “whipped” product. Loads of people like bag balm but I find it to be way too greasy personally maybe it works well and sticks around for a swim/bike combo though?

Boudreaux’s Butt Paste. Cheap and easy to find at any store where they sell Baby items.

^^^^ this it can also be found at large animal vet clinics or farm stores.

Betwixt. Simple, non-greasy, and holds up to sweat and moisture.

My go to. I’ve used a lot of creams, including Assos. You can find Noxzema everywhere, and for 10% of the price you get 90% of the performance of Assos.

Got some shay butter cream from a place in Charleston last year, and thought I’d try it out on the undercarriage one day

Worked well enough that I’ve kept using it
.

Using larger amounts of it may be an important factor in my case.

I use this also and have found it’s easy to heat, then pour in a empty tube of Nuun to have a smaller container for travel.

Yeah, these are so inexpensive (compared to the somewhat better but much more pricey stuff like Assos) you can slather on lots.

Probably not going to cut it for a 6-hour ride in the rain, but for my 2-3 hour rides in good WX, Noxzema (and I’m sure something like Lubriderm) works just fine.

Chamois butt’r ultra for long rides.

Regular chamois butt’r/cocoa butter/literally any water based lubricant for short rides, if any

Assos. On the expensive side. Works.
