Howdy Folks,
I got a $50 gift card for Nike and I figured I’ll try out some of their shoes and wanted your all’s opinion.
I have been running in Kinvara 2/3s for the last 6 months and like them a lot…so the 4mm drop is good for me!
Appreciate it!

Just got a pair of Lunar Montreal shoes, and although I haven’t yet run in them, they look really nice. I did order them 1/2 size larger and they seem right. Will take them for a spin later today…
i’ve run in the structure triax for a few year and love them, although they are made to provide stability support for over-pronators
.
I went from Kinvara to Nike Lunar Racer Vengeance and really enjoyed the switch. Light and comfortable.

I like the Lunar Racer and the Free 3.0 (haven’t tried the most recent one yet). That probably means nothing for what you will like though.
in case you were interested, there was a thread on the montreal at:

The Lunar Racer and the Montreal share the same midsole/outsole. The upper is just different. It’s a very light, soft shoe; so less structured than the kinvaras, and as mentioned, size up a half size.

Have you tried the 16’s yet? Totally different shoe.
You can these for $50…thousand.
no,i haven’t tried the 16’s yet…currently running in the 15’s(i’ve also owned the 12-14). what’s different?
My vote is for the Nike Free 3.0.
Not always easy to find in a brick and mortar store as they often seem to carry only the built up 5.0.
But they are worth a look online.
Very flexible - almost Nike Free flexible - and gone is any sort of medial posting - instead Nike when with their Dynamic Support system which used a slightly denser foam.
Since breaking my foot in June I need a very stiff soled shoe so these are unfortunately off my list.
this might be my dream shoe!!! i’ve loved versions 12-15, but have always wanted something a bit lighter and more flexible-kind of like a facing flat with some extra support for those who pronate a bit too much…sounds a lot like what they did
They’re about the same weight as the Peg 29’s ~ 10oz for mens size 9. The upper is this very nice lightweight mesh. Again, I wish my foot would allow me to give these a try. Instead I’m stuck flexing shoes at the local running shop to see which ones have the least mid-foot flex.
didn’t they bringing back the hurarache. Very comfy, but no structure/support from what I remember in my '92 pair
Take a look at the Streak XC3/LT. Great shoe and can be had for relatively cheap.
