Favorite Instant Pot?

You gonna make flat Coke in it?

I’ll admit that I did no research or comparison shopping and instead just bought what they had out at Costco, which at the time was the Instant Pot Duo SV. That said, it has been fine and has lasted five years so far. I mostly only use the pressure cooker setting. Last weekend I made 2 lbs of boiled peanuts in it!

Whatever is on sale. In my experience you almost never use any of the functions other than Saute, Manual and Slow Cook, and I don’t need Bluetooth appliances.

We grabbed ours off one of those free sites about 6 months ago. Used it once and probably going to give it away on one of those free sites.

Funny before we got it it seemed like any interesting recipe we came across required an insta pot. Now we never see anything that needs one.

This comment made me laugh so hard.

OP, just get whatever at Costco. Fwiw, I’m finding the insta pot was kind of a craze. I don’t know anyone who still uses them. I find they make really sub par meals and generally have very limited uses. I don’t think we have used ours in a couple of years.

My wife bought the “Instant Pot” version; it is fine. I was not really in favor of getting one, but I think she found it on sale.

I hated it initially, but I then discovered it is a hell of rice cooker. I use it, almost exclusively as a rice cooker, and we eat a lot of rice in our family. I have one or two meals I do on occasion in it.

If it craps out tomorrow, I’ll look at an actual rice cooker.

We have an 8 quart Instant Pot Duo. It gets used almost every day of the week to make quinoa, rice, beans of all sorts, vegetable stock, chili, lentil and a myriad of other soups.

Have the Instant Pot 3 qt mini version and use it all the time. Mainly cook for myself and wife so mini is perfect size. Like someone else said really only use saute, pressure cook and keep warm functions.

Not sure which one you should get but I use mine regularly. I would say it is worth having if you have space to store it.
