Shape/ comfort / ergonomics. Which pads are your favorite?
This season I picked up a set of Profile Design F-35 TT pads. They are super low-stack using a really high-density foam pad. There’s minimal, light, comfortable and I’ll replace the pads in a year or two if it ever gets worn down.

I have Cee Gees. I guess I should have said, like what cups are your favorite
I’ve used a bunch, so here are my one sentence reviews:
3T Vola: Good adjustment, comfy, good price
3T Aura/Brezza: Nope, ignore these
Zipp Vuka: No fore/aft adjustment, comfy foam but weird cup shape
Giant Trinity: Good adjustment but lousy shape and lousy foam
Aerocoach Align Wing: Heavier but very stiff, minimal foam but the tall sides really lock you in
51 Speedshop: Great adjustment, good shape, great foam, lightweight but a bit flexy if not centered on the underlying clamp.

Cee Gees has the highest stack of all pads so if that’s what you’re looking for…
Profile design ergo is the best I ever used and I have tried most major brands-Zipp, 3t, tririg, PD, etc
avoid the PD race cups unless you have bird arms-the curve is so much so I couldn’t fit my arms in the cups except with the thinnest pad

Made my own out following YouTube instructions with thin craft foam glued into pads.
Was actually fun to do, got exactly the size and shape I wanted. I didn’t make my edges perfect so not as clean as stock but I really like mine. Velcro for example on off as well.
Pretty easy, total cost under $20 and can make like 3-4 sets if needed
I wanted to tack on to the op’s question. What makes an arm cup good or bad? ie if I’m shopping for new cups what should I look for?

That was the aim. I measured some cyclist arms and set the dimensions so that the 10mm pad would cup their arms snugly.
The 5mm pad is so that I and other more developed riders can use the race cups.
Im sure it was. I have thin arms-much thinner than average male and with 10 mm pads (or 15 mm cee gees) there was zero percent chance of fitting (the thickest part of) my forearm in there. Even with 5 mm pads it was a struggle and not comfy. So, if you have bird arms, it may work; otherwise, if you want thicker pads, the race cups are not a good option for most. But love the ergo!!
I use the J5/Supersonic Bracket together with the J5 BTA Bridge. Preferred armrests are F-40TT, but I also have Ergo-Pads.
With both armrests I have the problem that the brackets are too wide at my pad widthof approx 16,5cm center-center. By too wide I mean that the outer ends of the brackets “poke out” under the armrests. Not a functional problem, but a bit ugly to look at.
Before I saw off the bracket - would the Race-Pads have the same problem?
I am looking for a high profile, stiff armrest. Preferible carbon fiber, but stiffiness is more improtant.

Race pads are the narrowest PD option, so you would see more of the bracket

F40 is not high profile - it has stiff sides but they’re a long way apart
Ergo is nicely cupped and stiff
Race is tighter cup (as DFW mentioned) and quite stiff, but the higher sides mean it is not as stiff as the Ergo

The 3T Vola/Revo pads/cups are really comfortable and so far are lasting me 3 times longer than the PD F-19/F-35 pads I’ve had.

I think an injection molded plastic. Mat may come on here to clarify.
I think they may flex if you have them on their widest position on the widest holes of the pad holder. I noticed it when trying to run washers under the front for tilt, thus creating less surface contact with the pad holder of the aero bar.
