Explain Canada goose for me

My 600 was about 200 pounds

In Dec, Jan and Feb temps in cham were usually - 10 to minus 20 though some very cold days on the mountains it could be worse

I’d wear it in the evenings or skiing under a shell
.

I don’t get it. Unless your hiking through the tundra or dog sledding through northern Canada why do you need something that warm.

One of my concerns with winter jackets is being too warm. I actually really hate going somewhere in the dead of winter, dressing properly and then go inside where its 75 degrees and stuck wearing a sweater, winter coat, flannel shirt etc.

It’s fucking cold as fuck here in the winter. I’ve got an expedition weight Montbell puffy that is the bestest thing in the entire world. Even the hood is puffy. Go outside, toasty warm. Go inside, hang it up.

On a funny note, last winter we lived in town proper here instead of outside of town limits, and we walked EVERYWHERE, all winter long, in snow clothes. We’d get to a restaurant, and my husband and I and all 4 kids would take all the snow clothes off (except for the snow pants - but the kids would take their snow pants off depending on the situation). So 6 people, with ALL the gear (hats, goggles, gloves) on chairs or benches. We take up a lot of space😂😂

I mentioned this in the prior thread that I linked to this one. I bought a down parka for winter camping. However, thanks to BLeP, I bought an Eddie Bauer. It is absolutely fantastic! I have used it at least a dozen times in temps ranging from 30 deg to well below zero. Absolutely love it. In addition, we have an outdoor fireplace that we used year-round. So, sitting outside, in the dead of winter, smoking a cigar and drinking bourbon, you need a down parka.

Now, I would never pay the price they are asking for Canada Goose. I cannot fathom their stuff could possibly be better than by Eddie Bauer parka.

But you don’t look nearly as fashionable. You’re so uncouth.

The denim capri leggings offset the coat. Throw in a blonde ponytail with a hat and JSA is a soccer mom with a five o’clock shadow.

Chicago is fucking cold in winter.

But it’s Milwaukee… couth a-plenty!
