Thoughts on fitting with this tool - BRILLIANT (dare I say mandatory) for prescriptive fitting all triathlon and tt bikes and new road/gravel rides with one-piece front ends. You can offer the customer comparison seat & handlebar elevations by dropping them 1, 2, 3…10+ WHILE THEY ARE RIDING. The handle bar X movement (AKA Reach) can also be adjusted mm by mm while the athlete is riding. Retro fits too…are faster and more accurate as you can allow the rider to choose their position rather than having them feel as if the fitter is imposing a position. This means bigger “buy in” by the athlete, fewer returns for tweaks, and happier customers.

There’s always a moment of hesitation when buying used equipment (this one is VERY lightly used and in excellent condition). I’m known in this community with nearly 30 years working in triathlon and ~20 in bike fitting….and you gotta believe that if something isn’t satisfactory I’m going to make it right: USAT Elite Coach, Head Coach LA Tri Club, Former Asst to Dan Empfield and is F.I.S.T. school, current lead instructor at the newly named Slowtwitch Fit Academy, instructor at the Guru Academy, etc.

Here’s my bump… Got call from a female law enforcement officer in the Riverside area (east Los Angeles county)…”Bob recomended I get my bike fit with you”. I think it’s too far for her to travel so I seek out a fitter in her area. That fitter comes back at $425 for standard fit. At that rate it’ll take you 6 fits to pay off this bike, 7 for profit. But, wait you’re thinkin’ I need to establish myself as a fitter, I can’t charge $425 right away - I agree, charge $250 from the onset and at 11 fits you’re in black.

I’m thinking about upping my asking price.
