Just got back from a trip to Denali and Seward, and the A’s in Alaska stand for Amazing. If you’re planning on going, I doubt you’ll be disappointed. Incredible place. Will see if I can post more pics.

Yep…it’s gorgeous up there. When I flew a B-1 home from a training exercise at Eielson AFB (near Fairbanks), we stayed relatively low (about 21,000’), and flew right past Denali. Freakin’ awesome.

Been there a few time with the USAF and it is amazing. I remember I had a huge OMG! moment when I first saw the Northern Lights. The pictures do them no justice. I was floored by how huge they are. I know your saying, “Tibbs you idiot. I saw a picture and I know they are big. Dipshit.” , but until you are standing right there and looking at them in real time you just don’t get it. You can’t.

Yes, they are ours. The ones you are seeing are the ones my gf took, and while her business is focused on weddings, stock and boudoir photography, she would like to focus more on landscape/nature as I get her into the backcountry more. These were with her 70-200 2.8 IS Canon 5D MkII. She was seriously outgunned most of the time, but with HUGE lenses on the bus and boat, those people didn’t have much ability to move around. We are happy with the ones we’ve got. The black and white is HDR. The others have not been retouched.
