This was wonderful. Best Triathlon related content I’ve ever seen.
The video and music are amazing.
Thank you to Eric and Nick for putting out there

I really dig Eric’s outlook/philosophy on endurance sports and the “why.”
Also appreciate you posting something positive!
Can’t wait to watch it later. Hoping I can get the kids to join me on the couch for this one.
The travels involving races and experiencing life as a solo stealth swimmer, cyclist, or runner, training in unfamiliar yet comfortable, seemingly empty places filled with nature, canyons, and waterfalls, while staying in remote locations and camping on the go during tri-camps. All off the beaten paths, and landing footprints belonging to big, wild animals rather than the hiking boots of humans. Those are my memories that complement the thrills, lows, and outcomes of racing. But mine seem dull compared to Eric and Nick’s. Wow. Epic stuff for sure. Thanks for sharing, Ron. I’d have never known about the video without your recommendation.
You can read more about my travels in my book.

I thought this would be over hyped - but I really enjoyed it.
The music was outstanding - I’m never one for that - but my god that could not have been better matched to story/film.
Well done Eric , Nick and team - a thoroughly enjoyable and positive film (pulling me out of my naturally negative self!)
Made an account just to say thank you
Good music and filming, but got tired of watching people ride/run for fun 20 minutes in. Felt like a modern warren miller ski film. I like the old ones better
I think the ski/surf film was the vibe they were going for.
I enjoyed the biking with Heather as I know that area of AZ up by Crown King.
You killed it with the music! Really enjoyed the whole film. The song around the 11minute mark had a strong Jose Gonzalez feel to it. (at least it did to me) Do you think you’ll release any of the songs?
That song was absolutely inspired by Jose Gonzalez, as well as the Civil Wars if you’ve heard of them. Yes working on how to attack the release. The issue is that none of those songs are complete songs. I only wrote the parts used in the film, so for a release I feel I have to finish them, and for some of them that’s quite a bit of work.
I actually went to Spotify to search for those songs, now I know why they weren’t there
A lot of work went into this. Hopefully at least you get a huge tax write off or something!
I enjoyed it on the trainer today. Re: the Warren Miller thing up above, I suppose we just needed more dad puns!
I like the message and theme of the project. I feel just easy to lose that in the talk of the music and video etc.
The concept of getting out there and exploring and finding an adventure is an intrinsic part of human nature.
Absolutely loved this!! I’m a huge TTL fanboy but I’ll admit I was unsure about this when they have been talking about it on the podcasts.
However every scene is almost perfection and the theme really hit home to someone who isn’t even close to being a professional or having spent that much time invested in the sport, but that sometimes feels the drag of just training normally de-motivating.
The enjoyment of just getting out for a trail run, a wild swim or cycling round with friends really is so good for you, and this film definitely gets me to want to do more of that.
Imagine taking the effort to spout such crap online, particularly when you know one of the team is here reading it.
If you can’t contribute something decent, don’t contribute at all. Criticism is one thing, rudeness is another.
its a rubbish post overall , but i have to agee with this part.
keep it simple, if you want simplicity carry your gear on the bike and camp in a tent and use a camping stove .
I like the juxtaposition
Riding a 20k bike
Looking like he just got out on parole
Wearing clothes from 2005
Hipsters get it
I’m really looking forward to watching this one. I’m not nearly as zen as he is, which make me like his philosophy more sometimes.
Pretty sure that’s why I’ve followed TTL since the start - Eric is such a relaxed dude and I have zero ability to get there without serious effort. It’s cool to observe.
@NickGoldston , great film! Admittedly I’ve bookmarked Nimmo Bay Resort. Funny thing is, wife and I are actually going to Tofino in July - cool to hear Eric mention it
