Epididymectomy

Had one side done two weeks ago and was told by my urologist don’t even think about running/biking for two weeks.

Feeling pretty good now but not sure if I should get back running/biking just yet.

Anyone else have experience with this?

The surgical removal of the epididymis is called an epididymectomy. This procedure is done when there is inflammation of infection of the epididymis known as epididymitis. The epididymis is a long coiled tube attached to the upper part of each testicle where the sperm matures and are stored before ejaculation.

Listen to your doctor - it’s a more intense surgery than it seems. There’s lots of layers inside there and if you injure something you could end up with blood or just swelling between them (which does not feel good, I can assure you!)

I see alot of these in the OR and people do come back with more problems bc they dont listen to there doctor. IF YOU ASK ME LISTEN TO YOUR DOCTOR!!!
