Not at all what I think you’re looking for, but I’m feeling in a thread-spoiling mood…
Wimsey jr’s class had a show and tell for parents on a science project thingie today.
Each kid had to design a machine to tackle a community problem of some sort.
Wimsey jr designed a machine to clean oil out of drinking water.
It was epic to watch him earnestly explain to parent after parent, and eventually the school superintendent, that the machine had a “control room”.

I saw that article earlier. If ever the word “hero” applied to someone, it is him. Imagine his mom realizing that if they all are going to survive, she’s going to have to let him risk his life.
This one will never be forgotten in Toronto and possible the rest of Canada, but memory of this highlight moment may have faded for the rest of the world over the years.
