Looking for a source of Glutamine, I guess I could take a pill? But am not really into that. Recommendations for glutamine seem to be close to 1000mg yet a serving (2 scoops) of Endurox is only a little over 400. Should you double it? Go twice a day?
Is it something that needs to be regiminted like glucosamine or something in order to get benefits or can it be on an as needed basis?
Also, any flavor recommendations? Is it mixed with water or milk? Chocolate and Vanilla sound good, but have never had much luck mixing those flavors of anything with water. Should I stick to a fruit flavor?
Pure glutamine powder’s available most places they sell supplements. Perfectly palatable in water, or orange juice. I’ll either add to the Endurox, or have on its own.
You could probably put it into anything, it doesn’t really taste of anything. It doesn’t dissolve terribly well, but doesn’t clot, so it’s more of a suspension than a solution.
As needed. It’s not like Glucosamine where you need to take it for 3 weeks straight before you have any benefits… if indeed there are any benefits to Glucosamine.
I loooove the chocolate flavor…tastes like Nestle Quik!! If you take two servings of Endurox/day that’s, if I recall, 540 calories or so…keep an eye on that
You can get Glutamine Powder way cheaper and get the appropriate doses.

As far as carbs go, have liter of coke and a smile. It’s all the same crap.
I still don’t get the people who train using gels aside from the occasional prep ride. I buy kids fruit snacks (not the real fruit). You can get 10 for 3 bucks. Same calories and same sugars plus fortified vit C They come in a water proof pouch and is nifty flavors and moldings. I like Spiderman myself, but Dora the Explorer has been on sale recently.
I about laughed my butt off when I saw “Race Day Boost” heh, you can get TSP dirt cheap at most homebrew shops.
Have tried fruit & choco flavors. I was leery of the choco, but now really like it. Mixes well by itself with almond or rice “milk” & makes great tasting smoothies with said “milk” + strawberries, mangos, banana’s - only fresh! Also good just with cold water, and I don’t really know why, but a cold mixture of the choco flavor with the milk substitute beats the fruit flavor for me. I think its because I can’t drink cows milk and so have gone many years without chocolate milk before “discovering” the choco Endurox. To regular milk drinkers it probably tastes like crap compared to the real thing - my kids can’t even stomach a sip. FWIW, I also really like the fruit flavor, but more as a base for fruit smoothies than by itself.
I recently started mixing a scoop of fruit punch and a scoop of vanilla and it ROCKS! The vanilla adds some smoothness to cut the tang of the fruit punch. I also use an additional spoon of Glutamine. Endurox can be had at reasonable prices online if you know where to shop.
