Elite Bike Trainers?

Any good?

I am considering a trainer to use for spinervals (I have a CompuTrainer already) and I was curious if anyone has any experience or knowledge about the Elite brand trainers. I have seen enough on this forum regarding Kurt Kinetic that I am almost inclined to buy the KK. Any advice/opinions would be appreciated.

I have the Elite fluid primo my only complaint with it is the way its designed if i get out of the saddle my rear wheel tends to lift off the roller. Make me wonder if one of these days i’m going to end up running into the tv or foosball table. Other than that I like it. And the rubbery roller doesn’t really tear my tire up (i’m too poor to buy the conti trainer tire)

I have had an Elite fluid for a few years now and absolutely love it. It is the full stand style, I have not used the new style stand. The resistance is very linear and you never have to mess around with getting the right pressure on the wheel to avoid slippage as the unit is spring loaded. It just doesn’t slip or wear your tires much. I also have a CT and my wife has a KK. When I am not using the Elite it is the one she rides. Both are great but the Elite is just simple to use.

I’ve had one for a while and would echo the comments about it being reliable and easy to use. However, I find there is no easy effort with it so wonder well how it would work for spinning. I’m actually thinking about a Computrainer to try to get more variety into indoor workouts (which I find boring).
