Electric, digital pump help

I am in need of an electric, digitall pump that will work on presta valve extenders for my deep rims.

Definitely a fumpa pump

Fumpa nano to carry in your bike tool kit (with the elbow nozzle kit for disc wheels) instead of two CO2s and an inflator.

For travel races (and honestly all races) I started bringing this hodge podge instead of my track pump because I can just toss it in my transition bag.
Pump:

Air chuck:

Schradar to 1/4 NPT adapter:

I checked it on a calibrator, and the gauge on the pump reads within 1/2 psi. The chuck is small enough diameter and length that it fits in the tiny window on my Parcours disc wheel.

I’ve got the same Cycplus pump and have loved having it at races. Even has an LED light in case you need it in the dark pre-race!

Is the air chuck “closed” until you put it on the stem or does air release as soon as you increase the pressure of the pump?

For seating tubeless, I’m looking for a presta chuck that’s “closed” until I put it on the stem. This allows me to open the valve on my compressor to the wanted psi and then connect the chuck to the stem and get the pressure I want.

What I have now requires me to connect the chuck and then quickly open the valve of the compressor. This doesn’t always seat the tire because I’m not always fast at opening the compressor valve.

Is the air chuck “closed” until you put it on the stem or does air release as soon as you increase the pressure of the pump?<

No, that chuck is an open flow type, with no check valve.

If you’re interested in a great cordless transition pump, Amazon Prime has the Cycplus on sale for $36. That’s a steal.

I have this one, and it’s fantastic. I highly recommend. I’ve had others, and this is the best. One plus: no accessory hose needed to preassemble. I do main pump up with my floor pump and top off with this one before races and it’s small enough to carry during rides.

Edit. Changed the link to fix Amazon’s change.

That’s looks to be a great pump. However, it appears to always target 80 psi, correct? What if I want to inflate my 30mm wide road tubeless tires to only 74 psi?

No psi display is a dealbreaker for me. There are other with the psi display still small enough for pocket carry.

I have a nondisplay pocket one but I never use it due to the lack of display. Got another rando Chinese one which works great.

You can set it to any pressure, and it automatically shuts off. I have mine at for 60 PSI for my road bike.

Mine has a PSI display. Maybe they changed the product behind the link, but that is what Amazon says I ordered.

Odd Amazon behavior… thanks to the questions/objections above. It looks like they changed the product from the link I bought.

After double-checking, this is the pump I got, the AS2 Pro. Amazon switched the links in my history.

CYCPLUS AS2 PRO

Yes that’s the type I had in mind! WAY better with the PSI display. Without it, you end up only use it as a last-ditch effort after a flat to stay moving. With it, its a super useful piece of kit that you should def have in your triathlon bag, especially for the AM bag for 70.3 or above, as the pump lines DO get super long (at least at all the races I’ve been to they’ve been super long!)

Thanks for the clarification. The first original link you posted shows a much smaller unit than the one you currently have. Does yours fit into disc wheel cutouts without using an air hose?

I got a crack pipe I used to inflate my disc wheel.

No psi display is also a deal breaker which is why I went with Cycplus over Fumpa. My Hed wheels have a max inflation limit so I need to know the number. With a Fumpa it’s a complete guessing game or I would need to carry a gauge as well. Not happening when other companies have a built in display.

I also have the AS2. The only downside I see is that, even with the hose that comes with the pump, I cannot connect it to my rear disc. It would be nice if there would be a 90 degree hose like Fumpa has. Does anyone know if the Fumpa hose would fit the AS2?

looking for a good 90 degree adaptor for this. thx
