El Salvador has no intention of returning Garcia

If asked by customs to surrender your phone you could say “I won’t because my favorite president said so…”

It was other things of interest to customs picked up on imaging

Of phones are of interest they’d have picked that up

So funny!

Not sure why, but dates are allowed in to UK but there’s a huge list of things that are not

I came home from South Africa with some dried meat (biltong) in my bag. I stupidly declared it.

I was told I can go sit “over there” and eat it, but I can’t bring it in the country.

My wife brought meat and cheese in. They let her keep the cheese but tossed the meat. She just couldn’t bring herself to say no when they asked if she had anything to declare.

When we were going to San Francisco my wife brought some strawberries to eat on the flight…

Nope. Cut fruit is no bueno.

I have heard it said that the main reason for not repatriating Garcia is that there are so many people in the El Salvador jail that were taken by mistake or falsely that it would open the flood gates if they repatriate one individual… so it is easier for the Administration to block it that admit they screwed up on many of the deportees.

Doubtful. The more likely reason is that to repatriate Garcia would require that Trump admit they made a mistake (to the public, not in court filings), and that they’ve lied about how bad an hombre Garcia is.

Those things just don’t happen. Trump needs a “victory” off-ramp for Garcia to return. Such an off-ramp might be as despicable as continuing to lie about him and blame Biden/Democrats/woke left/sicko journalists for bringing gang members back (“SEE! They want the thugs!”).

Oh yes, I once dated a nice girl from Shropshire. Good to know this is still allowed.

I lived in NZ for a few years. Coming back from Canada on one trip with my new (unused) MSR camping tent I forgot to tick the box on the arrival form for ‘camping gear’. Guess I just didn’t think about it as I hadn’t been camping and tent was new. Got busted and was fined about the same amount as tent cost.
They don’t allow food and anything with dirt on it into the country for bio security reasons……and camping gear is often dirty.

In 2001 I was given a stiff brush and a bowl of hot water and told to scrub my hiking boots in Auckland.

I think it was a connecting flight through the UK…

I didn’t drink the can of coke served on a flight so decided to save it for later and put it in my carry on. I got pulled aside and couldn’t continue on with it. The guy behind me got pulled aside for having lots of Nutella packets.

A bit embarrassing when you have to open up your bag.

On second thought a can of Coke’s not like some bio-agricultural food item or anything?

No. It just shows that you have poor decision making unless there were no other soda choices available. On second thought, even if there were no other choices - it still shows poor decision making. Coca Cola? Really?!?

That sweetness of a Coke is like nectar from the gods! Much better than the diet coke swill, which I find undrinkable.

(it was a few years ago, and part of my recent change in diet is cutting out coke… except for a very occassional mini-can once in awhile. Still awesome).

Yes. Every trip to NZ, they would check my bike case. I learned to have a pristine bike and wheels.

Yup, it is most certainly this.

I was stripped searched down to my Mormon underwear when I returned from my mission in Guatemala in 1986. They apparently thought I might be smuggling in drugs, because I didn’t quite look the part — unshaven, longer hair, an actually nice suite, blue shirt and no tie.

It was pretty humiliating.

Actually, the reason is he was an illegal migrant who was found to be a MS 13 member by two immigration courts. This “Maryland father” as the Democrat media likes to call him also beat up his wife three years ago. When recently arrested, he was wearing a MS13 sweatshirt and was with two other MS 13 gang members. Two bad the Maryland Democrats are more sympathetic to MS13 gang members rather than a Maryland mother, Rachel Morin who was brutally murdered by a fellow gang member who was able to enter this country thanks to our former President. Van Hollen never contacted Morin’s family to offer condolences yet they are so concerned about this gang member. Truly sad.
