Edge 500 crank length setting/Zero offset (and P1's). A little help please?

Just got a 500. Updated to version 3.3 via garmin express. Where in the hell do I set crank length? I just got P1 pedals too so it’s kinda important.

I go through the bike settings and click the ‘more’ button below bike weight and odometer which takes me to another screen that allows me to input wheel diameter but that is it. WTF am I doing wrong?

Also, got the P1’s paired but no option for zero offset, just ‘calibrate’. Any takers on walking me through that one too?

Talk me through it like the old timer that I am that just upgraded from a PT 2.4SL hub and LYC.

Thanks,
jamie

It’s in ‘Bike Profile’.

I have something called ‘bike settings’ and it is not in there.

First, make sure you spin the pedals (they must be activated for the setting to show up).

Next, go to “Bike Settings”. Select your bike. Then go to “More”. It’s the second option after the one for setting wheel diameter.

You’ll need to have the current firmware installed.

It will probably say bike 1 or something. That’s the bike profile as you’re allowed 3 profiles.

Thank you! That solved it. The pedals weren’t activated. As soon as I got them going the option showed up.

Now, would you or anybody like to take a crack at how I do a zero offset? I only get a ‘calibrate’ option. Same thing?

Thanks again,
Jamie
