Easton Tempest II Carbon

Anyone have any experience with these wheels? I’m considering getting a pair, but at close to 200lbs am a bit worried about whether or not they are robust enough to a durable choice for me. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

The Kona cyclo-cross team use them so they must be pretty durable.

I have no experience of those wheels, but here are some test results from the Tour Mag 9/2005.

Side-stiffness: Front: 60.9 / Rear: 46.1 (Newton/mm)

(Bigger number means stiffer, more force needed to bend one mm sideways.)

For comparison:
Zipp 808 Front: 52.9 / Rear: 40.7
Ritchey WCS Carbon Front: 37.4 / Rear: 31.9
Test best values: 78.3 / 55.9
Test worst values: 37.0 / 31.9

Aero-wise the 3rd best in the test. More robust than Zipp 808 and Ritchey WCS Carbon (placings #1 and #2)

They use the same height rim as Zipp 404, 58mm.

Hope this helps a bit!
