I just received my Easton Delta Force Aerobars with the EC 90 clip-ons. The base bar is 42cm, and the clip-ons are size small. I based the sizing on previous posts where I am 5’9’ tall and don’t have “long forearms.” On the side of the clip-on box it would suggest I should have got the mediums yet the size smalls seem to fit onto my forearms OK. Before I commit myself (possibly) by putting these bars on, I wanted confirmation from others that Easton seems to size their clip-ons a bit big. I will say they are beautiful bars. Thanks.
I wouldn’t worry. Once you mount them, they will scuff off the Easton lettering on the base bar. But the aero bars themselves won’t show any wear from setting them up. I am 5-10, typical arm proportions, and thought the smalls fit me better (I ordered both). I think riders’ aero bars are often too large, rarely too small.
I actually didn’t fit any better on the Easton combo than my Hed bar, so I returned the aero bars. But I scuffed the lettering as described above, can’t return the Delta Force base bar. Anyone want to buy it? It’s the 38cm or 40cm ctc width (can’t recall).
