Easton Circuit or Mavic Askium Wheel Set. Which are better?
Thanks
I like my Easton Circuits.
Just put some Aksiums on my girlfriends bike. They seem like a solid wheelset. I have been happy with every other Mavic Wheelset I have owned over the years, and they are a great deal at their price point. Nashbar has them on sale right now.

The circuits are lighter, more aerodynamic, and more expensive. If they were the same price, I’d take the circuits. If I were buying them at retail, I’d take the aksiums. (I have 2 pairs of the circuits, 1 came with my bike, 1 I bought off CL for $200/set.) You aren’t going to be bummed with either set.
Hands down Easton Circuits. I’m 200lbs and I’ve owned a set for 6 years and have never had an issue.

I have a set of Velomax Circuits (before Easton bought them) and they must have over 20,000 miles on them. Never had to true them and they look like they will be good for another 20,000. Good wheels.
ditto on what others have said, eastons are lighter + more aero, the aksiums are actually quite heavy although bombproof.
Another vote for the Circuits.
I think my rear Circuit has about 15,000 miles on it - a car accident, a crash, and it’s still rolling strong.
I have a pair of Velomax Circuits. They had 1,000 I put 2,000 on so far. Had to replace the free hub but that may have been due to the previous owner’s trainer use. I had a pair of Mavis Kysrium SSL’s and broke spokes twice in 2,000 miles requiring a new rim…I’m 210 but consider the Circuit better for me.
