Easton Attack TT install: extra material?

Question for those who have installed housing into these bars…

Trying to put the brake housing through the 90 degree bend. It seems like there is a whole bunch of extra material in there that is not letting the housing go through. It seems like flaky carbon/resin or something, maybe put in there to help get the housing through? Anyone else have all of this extra material in there, or was it as simple as fishing a wire hanger down there and fishing/bending out the housing? Any tips appreciated.

Stal,

Yes, there is a lot of extra fiber on the inside of these bars, I had the same issue when I installed mine about a month ago. I took a cloths hanger and pushed it through several times to creat a window for the cable to go through and this worked really well. When I went to push the housing through I sprayed it first with WD40 and it just slid in and around the corner and it was good to go. I also RTV’ed the little plastic grommets in as well, being that they do not like to stay in well.

I hope this helps you out, Glen
