My edge 530 is almost impossible to see in the sun if I am wearing sunglasses, certainly doesn’t make me any faster to have to take them off to see my power.
Any idea which is the easiest to see?

I have the Stages M50, which is known for its clear screen. The screen is much better compared to the Garmin 520 plus, which I used for a short while.
Recently the successor of the M50 was announced, which addressed some of the minor downsides of the M50.
But I’m sure there are more computers that have good readability.
Are your glasses polarized? LCD screens are polarized, and if the orientations of the two are not well aligned it will be very hard to see.
I have this problem with my iPhone (off bike), and am looking to swap out the lenses on my Oakleys for the non-polarized ones as a result.
Can you ride in the shade at all?
.
I went from a Garmin 810 to a Wahoo Bolt and found it to be easier to see in bright conditions (both with and without sunglasses). Also have no problems seeing it with polarized sunglasses either

x2, I switched from Wahoo to Garmin for head unit, and I regret it for no other reason than the Wahoo visibility.
I’m sure you are not interested in ditching colour, but the SRM PC8 and the various Lezyne Mega models are very easy to read in the sun.
Do you have auto brightness turned on? I turned auto bright off and can see the screen fine on my 530 (with my marginal eyesight.)
Have you tried angling/tilting the computer towards you? If the computer is relatively flat/level, this typically happens. Get a computer mount that allows you to tilt the computer(76project) or mount it closer to your hands on the extensions (assuming you aren’t running straight extensions). I run an 830 with a 76project mount and don’t have any issues.
Stages. Best visibility of them all.
I switched from Garmin to Wahoo for other reasons, but I definitely find the Wahoo Bolt heaps easier to read in all conditions.
