Night before. Still windy and hot–at 7pm about 84 w/ 15-20 mph winds. Very windy today during check in–the Choptank lived up to it’s name. Very hot and sunny.
Forecast is for this to break tonight and for a more favorable set of conditions in the am–we’ll see.
Chris Leigh looks ready to rock. Natasha and Desiree should have a good one on the lady’s side.
Looking fwd to seeing some good results from the Aussies in the field. Bell and Leigh should slog it out in the mens with Richie Cunningham in the mix also. I think all the women will need to watch out for Keat and Cafree also. Big day for Aussies at Eagleman I think!
VERY fast conditions today! Natascha rules–4:08 which I think is the fastest of all time for a woman in a HIM. carafae was second with a KILLER RUN. Desiree looked like she was in a lot of pain on the run.
TJ cranked a 2:02! and won going away. cunningham was a very solid 2nd. Zyemtsev was right behind him. Andrew Hodges had an awesome pro debut (I think it was his debut) goins sub 4. chris Legh had trouble on the bike and wasn’t a factor. Bell DNF’ed again–on the run–he looked really down.
Fastest E-man I’ve seen. Favorable swim conditions–limited chop and good tide. Bike-wind was only a modest bother. Very fast through 30. 30-48 were into a headwind so that kinda’ sucked. Run was mild with good clud cover–boring as usual.
