Hi everyone
I heard accommodations book up pretty fast for the Eagleman 70.3. Anyone recommend any hotels in the area? Don’t need anything too fancy and its just myself going down.
The Hyatt in Cambridge is pretty nice. Not too certain on the price, but it’s an ideal location.
You can camp out at a local high school for just $30 for the whole weekend. I did this this year and it was almost as good as any hotel.
really? you’re own room or in a gym?
I have done Eagleman 5 years straight…stayed each time at the Comfort Inn. Way cheaper than the Hyatt…Hyatt is big money. One thing to be aware of this year all the hotels are now requiring a 3 night stay in Cambridge !!
Good Luck…
what? Even the comfortt inn requires 3 nights?
yep !!
booked my room right after last years race before I checked out and they now require 3 nights…in five years it has gone from 1 night to 3 nights…makes for an expensive 70.3 and Cambridge really does not have much going on in terms of fun things to do…
that highschool camp out sounds more and more appealing… anyone have any details or where I can find out more?
Some people camped in the gym, I camped on the grassy area by the parking lot with a dozen others. I think there were about 30-40 campers total.
The only down side is the bathroom is a bit “old-fashioned” and may pull off some high-maintenance folks.
Here is the camping application:

Thx AmateurASU… is there a deadline for the application or do you know how quickly it fills up?
I doubt it will really fill up. There was plenty of room for more campers. You should email TriColumbia to be sure.
There will email you a parking permit before the race for you to use as proof of your payment.
