E-bike for family member to keep up

has anyone bought a e-bike for the better half to keep up and go on ride with you?

I just found a used (but newish <2 years) Specialized Turbo Como for my wife to go on rides with me. I have an 2001 mtb bike that we can cruise around the neighborhood with, but she doesn’t like to “ride” with me due to slow and cruise type.

I have been considering the same, My wife likes to ride with me but often has reservations because she can’t keep up. A E-assist bike would be perfect for us.

She is resistant though because she thinks its not a cool to be on a E-bike
