Can I use my FSA k force mega exo cranks (compact) that are on my road bike with the dura ace bottom bracket on my tri bike?
At the moment, I have a dura ace 53/39 chainset on my tri bike, but it’d be great to use the compact chainset on hilly courses. I read somewhere that the FSA mega exo ceramic bb can be used with shimano dura ace cranks, but can I use an FSA chainset with a dura ace bb.
Thanks for advice.
Yes - sort of…
While the spindle diameters for the FSA and Dura Ace cranks are the same, I think you will will find that the DA bottom bracket bearing cups are narrower than those on the FSA bottom bracket. As a result, you may find that even with the non-drive side crank bolt properly torqued, there will be some lateral (side-to-side) play of the crankset but I am told that adding a rubber o-ring of sifficient diameter on the non-drive side will eliminate the lateral play.

Ok, I’ll ask. Why are you replying to every thread with that picture?
