I like having a road bike that I can ride a little steeper for aero work, but still have my drop bars.
I don’t know much about frames that are out there. Anything besides the Soloist workable as both 73 degree and maybe 75 degrees?

and ‘BAM’, here you go …

WTF is that? A One?
I think it’s a P2K with drops. Why would you do that?
72-75* should work with any normal road bike.

No, I mean seat tube angle. I ride all the way forward on my saddles rails in the road position, so I’m already as steep as I can get on a 73* tube on a road bike. Thus why I need more like a 75* tube, or a 73* that uses a non-proprietary seatpost design (e.g., not my Colnago, with its unique post diameter) so I can run a straight clamp, or something that uses a Cervelo-like reversible post/head.
bingo.
P2K (or now called P2SL) with drop bars.
still measures at ~78 deg. seat angle the way i have the seat positioned.

Any bike with a 27.2 or 31.6 round post would allow you to use a straight Thompson. That’s the vast majority of frames.
I recommend either a Pegoretti or or a Calfee ![]()
Here is one that Jason built up as a tri bike but Look also sells the same frame as a road bike:

Cannot get any cooler than that.
Javelin makes one called the salento, check it out www.javbike.com If you really want one, I can probably get you like 15% off one, im sponsored by them (even though I dont ride one because I only get a discount…not a free bike)
.
Never mind, I just checked the site, they dont seem to make it anymore.

Blue Competition T14 - I ride one as my only training/race bike. Live near the blue ridge so I wanted something for lots of hills and technical descents. Seat is adjustable all the way up to 78 - very nice design. Note the three mount holes on the seat post. The full carbon rear traingle is very effective for smoothing the bumps out.

Custom might be one solution. Why not the Soloist?
