Driving from Seattle to Cda?

how long is the drive from Seattle to Coeur D’Alene? Is that a relatively straightforward and safe drive to go across Washington state?

We drove from CDA to Seattle last year. It was very straightfoward and safe, but we were driving in late-June. I imagine it could be pretty tricky in the winter. There are some very scenic spots along the way:

How long is the drive pls? planing on driving to IMCda!

Sorry about that . . . IIRC it took us somewhere in the 5-hour range.

You have heard of Google Maps right?
.

During the winter months, you will want to check the Snoqualmie Pass conditions and watch out for fog in the lowlands:

Provided the pass is clear it should take you about 5 to 5-1/2 hours. It’s really not that bad, you just take I 90 the whole way. There are Starbucks at Ellensburg, Moses Lake, Ritzville and Spokane (I think they did this for those Seattle peeps who can’t go more than an hour without the infusion of their caffeine!) It’s a pretty drive as you will pass through the Cascades, the Columbia River, the central desert and back into the mountains again. Summertime is usually a little faster.

I thought this would be some cool Coefficient of Drag experiment… :stuck_out_tongue:

Easy drive, very very safe, and only about 4 1/2 hours, though my PR is just under 4…
.

yah it takes about 5 hrs to get across the state its 70 the whole way to spokane but watch your speed through Elensburg, i got pulled over last year on my way from Seattle to IMCDA.

Nice! I’ve had to do the drive probably two dozen times and the standing record was 4:10. Solid time.

To the OP, that’s a serious x2 on Google Maps. The pass will be fine for IM CdA. Have a good race.

Just under 5hrs from seattle to CDA… This will be the 3rd year making the drive… Its not bad at all… Yes its straightforward and ez…

i have a better idea. do the much shorter drive from spokane to CdA, after a little training ride.
