Driving from Philly to Orlando (down 95) - any good spots to ride along the way?

Hi!

Jkenny5150 and I are driving (he’s driving I’m probably sleeping) from Philadelphia to Orlando for a family visit over the Easter weekend. Our route will be 95 S. We are bringing our bikes and running shoes, and were hoping for some advice on places that are relatively close to an exit off 95 that are worthwhile to hop off for a couple hour ride or trail run. Any advice would be appreciated!

Also, our actual destination is The Villages in Lady Lake, FL. If you know any good places around there that would be great too!

I’ve heard that the best spots to stop are in northern VA and into NC. It looks like 95 goes into the flat land as it get into SC and points south. We’re willing to go an hour or two out of the way if there are some good spots to go (namely good hills and back scenic roads without a lot of traffic).
