I’ve been using it for the past month with my new coach (Steve Johnson, who regularly posts on ST). There are lots of graphs and such, and included in the software is a means of predicting race paces and proper taper for the three individual legs. I haven’t used this feature, but I can see it being very helpful for tapering (instead of doing a generic 2-3 week taper across the board). Another feature of the software is applying TSS to not only biking, but running and swimming as well.
I’m sure others with more experience with Apollo will chime in.
It’s pretty damn good if you’re inputting good data. You have to read the manual to understand how the software works and how to properly do your Test Workouts and Threshold workouts.
That said the predictors are only really useful for lap swimming and biking if you have a power meter.
I’ve found the run predictor not that great because it uses pace/distance but can’t account for wind, and generally GPS elevation data is shit.
I suppose if you did all your workouts on a track it would be more useful.
