Does any one have knowledge of this person. Doing some research. My referral tells me he was an outstanding
exercise physiologist who coached world class triathletes in the Chicago area. Just checking my sources. Thanks
Sounds like a witch hunt to me.
I have never heard of him - but, from the 80’s? Really?

It’s no witch hunt…doing my research about what some peep says rather than take their word. You know how some people can over state something.
To be clear. I was quoted…
“Dr. Glen Town(e?), back in the 1980s, was an exercise physiologist who coached world class triathletes in the Chicago area(who was world class in Chicago in the 80’s?) He (Glen Town) said that most triathletes and duathletes went too
far in training and not fast enough in other workouts due to low glycogen level.”
This was quoted by a Mr Tom Schwartz (aka Tinman) http://www.runningprs.com/ who posts regularly at http://www.therunzone.com as an authority on all things running fast and getting pr’s
Yep, I had the pleasure of attending a few of his tri clinics around the midwest area.
Great guy and very knowledgeable on the sport, back in the day. He has a few books out, I have them at home. He was a Prof at a smaller college west of Chicago heading to the Rockford area, but the Community clolege name escapes me. He was in the period kind of between Costil and Coggans and around the Bud Light Series years…
I think maybe Gary Gielger (usual poster on ST) would know him …
I have heard his name in a few dozen years…

Thanks Kevin
