absolutely amazing…first amputee ever to complete and ultra man. did the run in the regular chair as not to have unfair advantage on other racers.

And I need to say what a classy guy Andre is. If you see pictures of day three and wonder why he isn’t in his racing chair . . . He didn’t think that would be fair . . . So he did the run with his regular chair just to make sure the effort required was as close to the other athletes as possible . . . Wow!
He did Brazil 135 also. Some of the terrain was so tough in Brazil he had to get out of his chair and crawl. He tied a rope to his chair and pulled it with his teeth.
