I grew up swimming in Dolfin swimwear but that was a long time ago, how is the quality of their gear compared to other brands today? Currently I’m doing pool workouts in TYR 100% polyester for chlorine resistance and really like it, however there are some good deals at swimoutlet on Dolfin but not sure of the durability as compared to others.
Dolphin Uglies contain polyester and will last a bit longer than a regular lycra suit but not even close to as long as a fully poly suit.
I’ve never tried a full poly Dolphin, so I can’t comment on those. My guess would be that PBT Polyester is prolly not made at too too many textile mills and there is prolly little variation in quality as manufacturers may be getting the raw material from the same places - - at least my speedo poly and TYR poly suits last forever. Eventually, they do degrade though and become less stretchy.
