Does Speed Concept rear tool box affect aerodynamics?

I have a 2018 Speed Concept
I have the black tool box thingy that sits behind seat tube and above the rear tire.
When reviewing the pics from Kona seems almost no one has the rear tool box on bike.
Does this box affect aerodynamics: Help, hurt or neutral?
Lots seem to have a tool box attached to the down or seat tube just above the crank…it this better? (i.e. O’Donnell, Laidlaw, VonBerg all rode Treks and had box just above cranks)(See atttachments below)

The new speedconcept that the pros are riding doesn’t come with a storage unit behind the seat tube. It was launched recently. Your bike is the previous model. Different bike.

It is buried somewhere in the speed concept mega thread, but per Trek it is aerodynamically neutral
.

Like the other guy said, the bikes from Kona and yours are not the same bike. The bikes in those Kona pics is the newest version with disc brakes and it doesn’t have a draft box.

The draft box on the older model is aero neutral. Use it.

When I bought my Concept all the way back in 2015, I asked that question. My bike shop, bike fitter and all the literature I could get my hands on indicated that it was neutral. I really didn’t care that much as I was training and racing HIMs and IMs at the time. Such a great bike. Still putting a lot of miles on it 7 years later.
