Several years ago I did this. Used one of those ten dollar pads that sit in front of computer keyboards. Cut to size and they worked great.
I have made several using wetsuit material. The nice thing is that you cut as many as you want and glue them together and I used industrial size velcro tape and glue one the pad and the other on the arm rest so that way you can switch them if needed. I have a lot of material left, if you need some pm me and I will ship some to you for free!
thanks,
Stef
if you have some of that left over that would be great!!
I have also used mouse pad neoprine (sp) - worked great.
Thats what I was just thinking about, re: mousepad. Seems like a pretty good idea.
p.s. I think it’s neoprene
black pipe insulator from home depot

Foam beer can cooler. Used for a couple years. David K
at a TT race (cycling) last year, i saw a guy with the little hotel hand towels (ouch, a bit abrasive) duct taped around his road bars, and home made aero bars, out of I think ski poles. the sad thing was that he was fast, posted in the low 30’s for a 14mi tt.
I used two 10 dollar bills and bought new ones.
Seriously, they’re not that expensive ![]()

as mentioned above, beer cozy’s (spelling?) work great and you can usually get them in different colours – in case you feel the need to coordinate!
haha i know, i just want to try some stuff out. and i dont really have the cash to spend on them right now anyway.
I have also not found a set of bar pads i like yet so i am trying some new stuff out.
