Do FinisherPix event photos ever go on sale?
I have been waiting see if they would from an event this year but I have not gotten any notifications like other event photographers do after a while.

Maybe i’m misunderstanding you, are you asking if they sell the photos? that is the only reason they’re in business. Now, they may not have their act together enough to have emailed you directly to notify you that the photos are ready, but they have a website… www.finisherpix.com
I just saw Ironman post on facebook that the IMAZ photos are already up from this weekend, which is ridiculously fast.
Go to the website, search for your event and watch the magical internet do its work!
I think they had a 20% off sale around Halloween.
I’m hoping for a 50% off sale or early bird thanksgiving sale. Almost pulled the trigger, but just can’t justify $100 for photos…even for my first IM. $50 I’m sure to get it.
Oh, my pics have been available for quite some time…I am just wondering if they ever gave a discount. 50% off would be sweet.
I’m with ya man. Too dang expensive. I have never purchased from them for just that reason.
I think they would sell more than twice as many at half the price which is more money for them. I can’t justify spending 100+ for pictures that are only so so; and same as another poster this was my first IM. The perfect customer profile IMO.
If I were them I would do simple A/B testing for a race and see the results.
Same here. $100 is a lot. The family got lots of pics, so I might end up passing on the $100, but for $50 or something, I would definitely purchase right now.

I would (and have’nt) NEVER pay that much for photos. It is just shameless to charge that much.
On the other hand I have never understood why you get useless t-shirts, medals, bars, gels, socks, hats, racebelts and what not in your goodiebag. But you have to pay for photos.
I would personally rather NOT get a medal, t-shirt and all that other crap that just fills up my drawer anyway. And let me have photos of me for free.
I’ve paid for great shots - finish chute with my kids, but can manage without the regular race ones.

Piranha sports does free pictures for their events. I believe i saw a Rev3 ad with the same deal, not sure if that is new for 2013 or if they’ve always done it.
