I made my own DIY aerobar pads with ‘project foam’ sheets (5 of them glued together), Shoo-goo to glue it together, and Velcro tape. Seem to work fine, but wondering if anyone else has any tips or good success with other materials - my foam looks a bit ‘amateurish’ with my scissor job!
Try cutting up an old computer mouse pad to size.
Otherwise the aftermarket CeeGees pads have a terrific reputation and aren’t expensive, so maybe worth a try.
Cut up an old wetsuit. Glue velcro sheets (available at any box hardware store) to aerobar and to pad.
I wanted a very low stack pad, so I made my own out of black microfiber towels and 2" velcro strips sewn to the back side. Since the part of my arms that rests on the pads isn’t very sensitive, I find that the microfiber grip is all I need, and it’s not uncomfortable.
I think I’ve seen some folks use the compressport arm sweat bands on the arm rests…
