Am wanting to get a disc wheel for racing but then remembered that my bike box (BikeBox Alan) uses a brace that goes through the spokes of the wheels and obviously wouldn’t work with a disc. Has anyone else got the same bike box and uses it with a disc? If so, do you just ditch the brace or do you use some other additional packaging (firm foam?) to replace it?
I don’t have a disk wheel (90mm deep wheels), but have the bikeboxalan.yeah, you can’t use the anti-crush pole, but would you use some firm foam around the frame since the disk itself will be separated from the frame with the large foam spacer.
