Disc over deep dish?

I understand significant gains when compared to box rims/training wheels, but I’ve got some SRAM S80s and are there any significant gains to be made by using a disc instead of the deep back wheel? Like over the course of a 40k are we talking <20 seconds?

With modern deep wheels, light to medium winds, probably less than 20 seconds.
Stronger winds or lots of crosswinds, maybe more than 20 seconds.

With the SRAM 80 though, you might get about 20 seconds even in light wind. Hard to say for sure. Certainly more advantage for you to disc it up than though.

You can put a cover on it!

with a Sram 80…it s well worth using the cover. That is what i have on this pic with a flashpoint 80(same wheel as sram S80). Broke the bike course record at oliver half ironman on that day, 42.5km/h for a half ironman with some good winds. If it get windy…you will be happy to have it on!!!
