I think nuun disolves a little faster/better than zym, but my zym experience is limited to a few sample packs.
Sorry, never tried Zym but love NUUN. The least favorite flavor of most is the Kona Cola but I kinda like it. Orange Ginger is there newest and est flavor IMO
how many pieces did u get in the free sample?
I have experience with both. Nuun is DELICIOUS, don’t listen to the haters. Tri-berry is my favorite flavor. They suggest one tablet per 8oz, though, so it’s “weaker.”
ZYM is ALSO delicious and comes in two formulas: Endurance and Catapult. I prefer the lemon-lime flavor of the endurance formula to the berry flavor of the catapult. They suggest 1 tablet per 16oz. It haz a flavr.
I don’t know why this table isn’t on ZYM’s website (unless it is and I just can’t find it) but here’s some data from a little postcard that came with a sample:
ZYM Catapult: GUARANA AND 100mg CAFFEINE, 4 cals, <1 carb, 0sugar, 250mg sodium, 100mg potassium, 17mg magnesium, 18 mg calcium, 167% Vit C, and a whopping 8333% Vit. B12
ZYM Endurance: 7 cals, <1 carb, <1sugar, 250mg sodium, 50mg potassium, 50mg magnesium, 30 mg calcium, 167% Vit C, 50% B5, 400% Vit B6, and 667% Vit B12
Nuun: 6 cals, <1 carb, 0sugar, 360mg sodium, 100mg potassium, 25mg magnesium, 12.5 mg calcium, 60% Vit C, no B vitamins.
Looks like you can get samples from the ZYM website. I still love Nuun, but do like the massive amounts of B vitamins in ZYM, and am a caffeine whore, so will likely make the switch to ZYM. It’s a good hangover cure if nothing else!
…Maybe now is a good time to ask if you can OD on B vitamins?

i raced for Nuun last year, and they are some awesome people to work with on top of great product.
i personally like the cistrus the best (with lots of ice its awesome).
they are all good though (well i only have used the older four flavors, dont know the new one(s)
actually you have it backwards, Zym Catapult has caffiene and Guarana in it and the Edurance formula doesn’t.
To the OP, I like both Zym (prefer the Catapult Berry) and Nuun, but given the chloice go for Zym first. To me the flavor is a bit better with Zym and I like having the caffiene and Guarana.
You have to keep in mind that for long course racing this is a good source for electrolytes, but you still need a calorie source.
Actually, the ZYM postcard I was quoting has it backwards! (PROOFREAD, ZYM people!) Not my fault.
Yes Catapult has guarana and caffeine and obscene amounts of B12.
