I believe they tied the knot. I have seen Paul and Paula do a slew of local running races this winter.
In some cases Paula enters as Paula Newby Fraser, and in some as Paula Huddle.
In this particular race - St. Patricks 10K, I tend to wonder if Paula actually ran this time. based on previous races this winter this would be quite a fast time for her.
Is it possible she “lent” her race number to her good friend - Heather Fuhr ? Just a guess…

Paula can outrun Heather any day. You dont run your fastest at every race, and maybe pride was on the line for this one. I have one race a year that my wife and I battle it out. No niceness involved. I would rather die on the course than let her beat me. This year, she was nipping at my heals and finished less than a minute after me. Most other races I dont care and will produce slower times than normal.
