Call Lance “The king of all kings”??? King of all kings? WTF? Lance won some races and all…but his resume is NOTHING compared to many others. Coppi, Eddy, and on and on…wow.
Not to mention that the “king of all kings” phrase was essentially copyrighted about 2000 years ago in reference to a certain Jewish carpenter who could probably win the TDF in His sleep…
Gosh,
I better bone up on copyright history…
Well, “copyrighted” in the loose sense of the term…
At least Lance does not look like someone stuck an air hose up his ass - yet (Greg, Eddy and many others have had the air hose)…at least Eddy was not on a damn recumbant.

he’s the king of dodging the dope-a-meter.
Give Lance another 15 years, spray some pellets in his chest cavity, then repost.
I got $50 that Greg can eat your lunch on a 40K TT on that funny recumbent.
Ok…that is a funny a** picture. Yeah, if I see another damn recumbent bike while I am out riding…I don’t know what I’ll do. I am so sick of those f***ing things.
But to your post…let’s not shortchange Lance. Even the riders in today’s tour idolize him. He didn’t just win a few races. He won a few Superbowls. In sports, it’s the big games that count. The Tour’s, Superbowl, BCS championships, and NBA finals. Nobody remembers the regular season games.
Also, no matter how gay Greg looks on that bike, he is one of the best cyclists ever. He won the Tour in 89’ with the fastest Tour TT split ever recorded. Faster than Levi’s today on some piece of shit aluminum bike.
When it comes to tour victories, nobody’s topped Lance. So the comment is a lil justified. Now if we’re talking about the greatest of all time (G.O.A.T) I’d have to say nobody’s even in the same league as Eddy Merckx. The way he dominated races, pre-radios in the ear of every rider, and the fact that he’d win the Yellow, Green and Polka Dot jerseys in races, he was just unreal. There’s a reason he was called the cannibal. Lance was cool and calculate, Eddy, was aggressive and fearless, Insanely intelligent about his effort, but fearless…
When it comes to tour victories, nobody’s topped Lance.
What? You are kidding I hope. Lance raced ONE race…he was able to train all year for the “Indy 500”…Greg FAR overshadows Lance (who by any assesment was as dirty as the rest) and then again Greg was just a spark in the pan compared to the real days.
I am a huge Eddy fan, but I am not so sure that there is very much intelligent his racing style: going all out all the time. What I love about Merckx is that his strategy was that there was no strategy–just attack.
I think you need to brush up on your history. In addition to winning the Tdf 7 times, to name just a few, he was a World Champion winning the World Championship Road Race, the US Nationals Road Race, the Clasica San Sebastian, La Fleche Wallone (races typically won by sprinters), other stage races such as the Daphine, and of course not to mention the 22 yellow jerseys he won.
That is a short list compared to many others. Most of the others did not have the doctors that Lance had…welcome to the new world. Again, the Tour was tained by “cheaters”…many were not busted…this game…you really think that Lance was “the” clean one? Please.
aerobike I think you are the one that needs to brush up on their history, since when are Indurain, Bettini, Bugno, Rebellin, Di Luca, and Bartoli (former winners of San Sebastian and Fleche Wallone) considered sprinters? Both San Sebastian and Fleche Wallone are hilly classics ideally suited for a guy like Armstrong in his early days. There is also no way you can deny that Armstrong basically raced one race a year after he came back from cancer so you really cannot compare him to the likes of Merckx who would race and win week in and week out.

You mean he wasn’t talking about Elvis?
Not to mention that the “king of all kings” phrase was essentially copyrighted about 2000 years ago in reference to a certain Jewish carpenter who could probably win the TDF in His sleep…
As far as I know, Jesus has never won a major cycling race. Even if he had, wouldn’t it be questionable that he was THAT much better than the guys that doped?
How sad that you actually think that “he” was anything but mortal.
Try reading some Richard Dawkins to enlighten yourself.
Apologies in advance if I am reading to much into your post ;-).
The real King of Kings is one Paul Michael Levesque, formerly known as Hunter Hearst Helmsley, and now professionally known as Triple H. He is coming back soon and then it will be game over for everyone else.
…too funny
