Does anyone know the length of the e-tube wire leads on the SW 671 2-button TT shifters?
I want to say 450mm to ‘maybe’ 650mm (that’s long). Why do you ask? Many LBS will have other sets for purchase if you need them.
I spec’d it out recently, you have to buy those wires, they don’t come with them.
For me to upgrade my Plasma 20 from mechanical Ultegra 6800 to Di2 6870:
Rear Derailleur - Shimano Ultegra Di2, RD-6870
Front Derailleur - Shimano Ultegra Di2, FD-6770
Battery - Shimano Di2 SM-BTR2, internal
Aero Bar End Shifters - Shimano Ultegra Di2, SW-R671
Brake Lever / Shifter - Shimano DuraAce Di2, ST-9071
Junction Box - Front - Shimano SM-EW90-B
Junction Box - Rear - Shimano SM-JC41
Charger - SM-BCR-2
500mm Cable - RD to JC41
250mm Cable - FD to JC41
950mm Cable - JC41 to EW-90
250mm Battery to JC41

I don’t believe you’re right about that. I’ve googled and seen quite a few photos and ad listings. In every case there are wire “leads” coming from the shifters. I know you have to add wires to the road brake/shifters, but I’m asking about the TT bar end shifters. I also had the first generation Di2 (before e-tube) and those TT shifters had leads.
That’s the email I got from Art’s Cyclery.
Interesting though, I see your point here: http://www.frankbauer.net/blog/2013/10/27/scott-plasma-tt-mein-neues-triathlonrad/
His pics clearly show cables coming from the shifters. Maybe they eff’d up?
I ask because on my build the junction box works really nicely strapped to the top tube right behind the steer tube/stem. But it’s a pretty long run from the junction box to where the shifters will be from that location – probably need at least 500mm.
I took the group off of my road bike and put it on an old TT bike I’m building back up, so it’s all done except for the TT shifters.
The plot thickens though… Competitive Cyclist lists the 6871 shifters as:
http://www.competitivecyclist.com/shimano-di2-tt-shifter-brake-lever-set
The Shimano Ultegra Di2 TT ST-6871 Shifter/Brake Lever Set includes both right and left levers, brake cables, and housing ferrules.
Well that’s one of the best photos of the shifters I’ve seen and it makes me hopeful 'cuz those leads look pretty long. Thanks!
That’s the top photo in your earlier post. I’m not worried about those. I’m asking about the bottom photo shifters. The shifters, not the brifters.
I just took one out of a box and measured. ~ 650mm E-wire (I didn’t have a ruler, so used a piece of paper). I assume it’s the same on all.
Thanks Jensentri. That’s gonna work!

So bobby11, did you ever go ahead and get your bike upgraded?
