I am putting on my DI2 JUNCTION BOX under my stem…
I can’t get that stupid band to stay on… and mount the box…
My LBS put on the junction box using small zip ties… so I decided to get a new band and put it on.
Tried to do it… and can’t get the box to mount in place with band on…
HELP…

Nope… it just seems that when I connect it to one side and pull it around to lock it under… I can’t get the box on.

Mine was the same way, so I used a combination of zip ties and gorilla Velcro. So far so good

Zip tied to the rails and under my saddle. Takes some creative wiring though.

I don’t really understand the purpose of this. How is this any better than 1 millimeter higher and on the bottom of the stem?
Well, you don’t have the ugly strap wrapping around your stem, i.e. the top of the stem is clean.
But there are IMHO better options for placing the junction box:

Like others, I’ve relocated it to a less cumbersome location.
Under the BB or above near the F/D is a good thought.

I tacked mine under the stem using Sugru. No strap needed anymore.

Do you still have to use Zip ties to attach the box the mount?? Looks like it in the pics…
Zip tie around box and around Barfly…
Zip tie around the Di2 box mount to the barfly…then slide the Di2 junction box onto that (pretty much what you should do regardless given how flimsy the junction box mount is by itself)

In the pics it looks like the whole junction box is zip tied to the Bar Fly…
