Di2 help: ST-9071 shifter/brake lever detected as SW-9071 TT shifter

I bought a used pair of ST-9071 shifter/brake lever (2-button). Problem is the right lever is being detected improperly as the SW-9071 single-button TT shifter. It’s been a while since I bought this so passed the return period.

Is there any way to fix this?

Need a PCE02 to run diagnostics.
May not be the shifter - have had a faulty SD50 cable mess up shifter recognition

Shoot. I take it there is no option for a firmware update?

I have had an occasion that I’ve needed to plug shifters into a different junction box to get things to work properly. I think the issue was that one of the components had firmware that was ‘out of sync’ with the rest of the system.

Assuming that firmware update doesn’t work…
I take it that only 1-button works on your shifter (because it’s recognized as a single button shifter)? I suppose that you could set up the bike in synchro-shift mode (if you have the newer DN110 internal battery) just to get some functionality. Not ideal, but functional.

I once reached out to shimano for support on Di2. Unfortunately, I never heard back from them.
