we have some good LBS’ in Fort Worth, but is there a DFW guru at bike fitting that everyone goes to? I might need a second opinion.
Who did your fit?
I’m looking to get a fit done as well. I had been researching some in the area.
I’ve heard good things about Gary at RBM. However, I had been considering the following. Once I get my seat issues figured out, I plan oon hitting up Knobbies and Slicks or Craig for a fit. Maybe a fit would solve my seat issues though /shrug.
These are in no particular order.
- ** John Cobb** - 1.5 hours away. I sent in an application to get fit by him but haven’t heard back in some time.
- Knobbies and Slicks - Not too far away. The guy is FIST certified and has spend some time with John Cobb doing fits and some wind tunnel time at A&M with him as well. I am leaning toward this guy to get my fit.
- Craig Fulk. He’s a RETUL guy and I’ve heard people speak well of him. Cycling Center of Dallas send their guys to him I believe. I am told that he’s an Engineer and a rider as well. Does power analysis.
- Colonels in Ft. Worth. FIST Certified.
- Gary at RBM. A lot of the crowd also has good things to say about him.
I bought my bike at RBM in Richardson. However, I went in telling them that I felt a little pinched in aero and it felt like breathing issues. All they did was add a spacer. Didn’t try to open up the hip angle or anything. Now, this was just a fit I got with the purchase of my Speed Concept.
x2 on Craig Fulk.

I used Doug at colonels. So Far I really like it.
X2 for Doug at Colonol’s in FW. FIST certified and spends plenty of time with Cobb, but also just has a great eye for how to sit on a bike. Funky shop with a great vibe. It’s worth the trip and the price just to hang out and listen to Sully talk to people about bikes. I’ve had three fits done there

I bought used from RBM, but i have really worked on my core and flexibility. I went from 1 inch of spacers to none, and very comfortable. I kind of want a double check on my work. My local shop is Colonels so I’m glad to hear they are so highly recommended! Those guys are so nice.
I bought my bikes from bike mart. I got fit at Colonels too. Those guys are nice, I just wish it were closer for me.
