Dev Start another thread

Ok we have people saying going 2:00 in an olympic really isn’t that hard.

Dev to the rescue please. How about you start a new thread challenging people to put up a 2 hour Olympic in the year 2009?

This is the slowtwitch 1:59.

Well… my OLY time was really a 2:05, or 2:07, or 2:25. BUT in the water someone dislodged my googles, and I got in a bad start position and ended up stuck behind a group of people who just really couldn’t swim. Sheesh some people have no business swimming in open water. I really wish the RD’s would weed these folks out.

Then in transition the zipper to my wetsuit got a little stuck and I really had to pull HARD to get it undone. I lost almost a minute and a half right there.

The bike leg was fine, I was crusin’ at about 350 watts, you know to save myself for the run. But my time was only 63 minutes for the 40k because the leg was a little long, it was super windy, and I think my rear brake pad was touching the rim on the left side.

Then on the run I was flying. My new race flats only weigh a half ounce. No really! I got 'em on special order. I have no idea why my first mile split was 7:05. Bad measurement of course. I just kept pushing the pace though. Unfortunately I had to work my way through a devestatingly painful sidestich. If not for that my 43 minute 10k would have been at least a 37.

Puhlease who can’t break 2 hours.

Phhhffttt. It’s not hard. I go under 2:00:00 to T2 all the time…

the trick is finding an ‘olympic’ that is horribly mis-measured. The salem witch tri last year had about a .5mi swim because the tide was going out so fast. Both Mooseman and Lobsterman this year featured incredibly short swims.
