DeSoto Forza Tri Shorts - BEST DAMN SHORTS!

Just picked up a pair of the DeSoto Forza Tri Shorts (Low Cut)…

THESE ARE THE BEST DAMN SHORTS HANDS DOWN!!!

Now I just need to figure out how to recycle my 2XU and Zoot Shorts? If your in the market for some new tri shorts, DeSoto certainly makes a great short and all of the positive reviews can’t be wrong…

x2… I was surprised how much I liked my Desoto’s. Next pair I buy will be Desoto again for sure. Absolutely like them more than the Zoot’s I’ve had (what’s up with the short drawstrings?).

What 2xU shorts do you have. I was looking at the endurance ones in black, large if possible.

I have a pair of the endurance shorts and comp shorts both in black. I believe both are Mediums as their sizes run large.

I wear the Forza 4 pocket. They are the bomb race shorts.
For long training rides get a pair of the 400’s.

I’ve own a few brands, but the Desotos are at the top of my list

Yup - love the low cut Forzas! I’ve even done a LOT of chlorine pool swimming in them for over a year and they held up great (a sure fire killer of most tri shorts).

The 2009 Forza Riviera Tri Shorts are the BEST shorts I have ever used. I strongly recommend getting a pair!

I love mine!

I may as well jump in since I almost started this thread myself. Raced a HIM this weekend in these and loved them. I almost loved them more for the comfort on the run than for how they felt on the bike and they were great on the bike. Best tri shorts I’ve worn in 10 years of racing.

Awaiting delivery of mine now.

Ordered BEFORE this thread started.

Had a sizing question, emailed Desoto. The ever present Chuck responded.

I’m pretty sure Chuck is some sort of automated bot that responds to
email. He’s pretty good, seems human and all. Even claims he was
at IMAZ, but has anyone actually met Chuck?!??!

Looking forward to seeing if they measure up to the hype. I’m expecting
at least 2 mph from them.

They feel like a 2nd skin. They are extremely supportive, have a great feel and the chamois was extremely comfortable. It’s exactly what I have been looking for in a short!!! They provide great support in the crotch area and do not loose any of their support after soaking up water or sweat, unlike other shorts which tend to bulge and stretch…

I raced a HIM in a pair of 2XU Endurance Shorts and they fell apart after the one race, which is the only time I wore them. However, 2XU did replace them under warranty. So maybe it was just a bad batch.

X10. Got a pair of the 4 pocket Forza’s and raced them the next day. All I can say is awesome. I think the best measure of shorts is if you don’t even notice them. These are the best I’ve tried, including TYR, Zoot, PI. They all suck compared to the DeSoto. I have a friend who has raced two IM’s in the 400 mile cycling shorts. He swears that he can run in them very comfortably. Who knows?

If you guys think the forza’s are good and don’t need the pockets. Try the Riviera ones they will blow you mind.

Ok, now I’m expecting 2mph on the bike and BJs on the run.

i believe the quote from one of my friends after i finally convinced him to order it was “this thing is amazing it massages my balls on the bike”
.

I also love these. What color is the favorite of folks on these? I do look forward to getting these in all black without the white stripe on the bottom.

With a quote like that, how can I not get a pair of these? Just ordered them.

Has anyone found them on sale anywhere?

I am currently using Craft and it’s okay. Could use more paneling for compression.

Having used Desotos for many years, I’ll agree that Emilio does an incredible job with his gear! The shorts are great, and his customer service is without compare, and the prices are extremely reasonable. The only thing he does wrong is that he makes them so well, they last waaaayy too long for him to make much money. I’ve had pairs last 5+ years without “thinning” or falling apart. The only product I’ve used that compares to that is my litespeed titanium bike and my speedo endurance swimwear!
